Tastings
The Gauthier’s have sited and designed their tasting room to capture the features of their most memorable wine tasting experiences. The winery looks across to the vineyard and sits above the natural pond set towards the back of their Fair Winds Farm. The winding, single lane, farm road leading to the winery from the entrance on Farmers Drive serves to lower stress and raise expectations of inbound wine lovers. Inside, the fireplace and casual surroundings; and outside, the wrap around porch combine to offer guests a relaxing, peaceful country setting suitable for enjoying their wines of choice. All tastings include a souvenir Gauthier Vineyard wine glass.

clove, anise, and a bit of cinnamon. This wine will bottle age well
getting better and better over time.
Reserve Tasting Includes
Rochambeau’s “Starboard”
A full-bodied and rich port-style wine made by fortifying wine made
from the Chambourcin grape. Aged one year in French oak and one
year in barrels used to age bourbon for four years. Excellent with
blue cheeses and chocolate.
Lafayette’s Reserve
This wine is 100% Viognier, fortified and aged in new French oak for

Viognier, make this a special desert style wine.
Red Wines for Tasting
Chambourcin 2011
Smokey and earthy aromas with a hint of spice and
noticeable fruit flavors.
Petit Verdot 2011
This wine is commonly used in our blends. It expresses
dark fruit, leather, and subtle spice. It is a wine that will
age 5-10 years, but is enjoyable while it is young when
paired with red meats, and hearty stews
Brick House Red 2011
Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot and Chambourcin come
together to create the cultivated flavor of this wine.
This unique blend has a long and lasting finish.
White Wines for Tasting
Traminette 2012
This is one of the few wines with a floral character.
Can you smell the hint of roses? Made in an off-dry style
with crisp acidity. This wine serves well as an aperitif.
Serve well chilled.
Riesling 2012
Notable citrus flavors with the right amount of acidity
and sweetness make this wine the perfect pair with
shellfish, chicken or spicy Asian dishes.
Viognier 2012 – Oak aged
Aged in French oak for eight months imparting toasty,
buttery flavors. This vintage has complex aromas. It will
age well, but is best enjoyed now.
